10+ hours

Observing and shadowing at farmers markets and food festivals

Research Methods

The start of our research began in the Northport Village Park, LI, NY. During our observation and interviews, we found the most popular event was the Farmers Market on Saturdays. From there we conducted our research at the market, as well as others across Long Island.

To define our problem, we conducted surveys and interviews, as well as shadowing and joining many LI Farmers Market Facebook groups. The different ways of data collection aided us to becoming experts on this topic, so that our design would reflect what was needed.
